TIPS & TRICKS.

Holley Tip. Shaft Wear:
  
Check to see if there is excessive shaft wear on the primary and secondary shaft (if a 4 barrel carb) by holding the shaft linkage and moving it sideways. Try both ends of the shaft. If it moves considerably its time for a reco. This is especially important if you are using lpg, as the gas can leak out of the shaft and be a safety concern. Shaft wear can cause poor idle, poor throttle response and wear to both the shaft and flys. We rebush all primary shafts and vac secondary shafts during our recondition process and reset critical adjustments.
 
Holley Tip. Poor Economy:
  
A number of things can contribute to poor economy apart from a heavy right foot! Check the mixture screws for response, if none, check for air leaks. Inspect for shaft wear (as above), look at the pump adjustment, float levels, ignition timing or perhaps the jetting is wrong? Our best recommendation is that its probably telling you it needs some tlc. Thats where we come in! Our overhaul techniques exceed industry standards and are certain to not only regain economy but improve all-round performance.
